This Teddy Bear Harlekin is 35 cm tall and handmade of blue and red mohair plush. He is a replica of a one of a kind Harlequin bear created in the roaring 20’s in 1925 as a sample bear which never made it into production. This bear was passed down the generations in a family for 75 years. It was discovered in 1999 and auctioned for over $86,000! Steiff made a replica of this bear for the Steiff Club in 2000. He is stuffed with wood shavings and the soles of his feet are made of yellow felt. His nose and claws are hand stitched with black yarn. He has jointed arms, legs and head and a press-and-listen voice. One of his eyes is blue and the other is brown. He has a porcelain Steiff Club pendant around his neck identifying him as a Steiff Club Edition bear for the year 2000. This is a limited edition bear 101. He comes with an ear button and white tag, EAN 420214, a certificate and his original box.
He has only been stored in his box and is in as new condition.
