Steiff Scottish Teddy Bear 2001. A specially commissioned edition of just 3,000 pieces made exclusively for the United Kingdom by German manufacturer Steiff in year 2001. This is number 0162. EAN 654855.
This very handsome teddy bear is made from classic wavy snow-white mohair, a little longer for the beard. His black nose and claws have been carefully stitched by hand. He wears a traditional Scottish bonnet for men, the Tam o’Shanter, and a bow. According to the certificate this is the weathered, or muted, version of the “Scottish Parliament Tartan”, which was originally designed by Gail Hek to mark the re-establishment of the Scottish Parliament in 1999. Colours in dark red, grey, green and blue.
He measures 32 cm / 12.5 inches, and has a white/red tag in ear and the button-in-ear trademark. He comes with his  certificate and original box. He has only been stored in his box and is in Brand New condition.
